Thom-Green Wedding Invitation
Planning a wedding often involves a staggering amount of decisions, with the design of the wedding invitation probably ranking among the least important for most couples. However, with Christian being a graphic designer, he felt that when it came to his own wedding, the design had to be something unique. So, rather than choose from a stock design, he set out to create his own.
The theme of the piece came from wedding rings and the bond between the couple they symbolize. So, for the outside of the card Christian created 2 loose overlapping circles, that when the card was opened, were replaced by the symbol for infinity. The most difficult part for Christian in designing the invitation was positioning the text and rings on the outside of the card so they not only matched up when cut down their center, but also so the rings matched up with the infinity symbol on the inside. Eventually, Christian managed to make it work and in the end he satisfied one of his toughest clients: himself.
