Attack On America Monitor

A monitor graphic is a graphic created to appear in a monitor somewhere on set, as opposed to simply being on-screen. These graphics are intended to serve as a sort of billboard for the story they proceed. Often times monitor graphics are used as a segue to recurring segments featured within newscasts.

The Attack On America monitor graphic could be Christian’s proudest moment at KMTV. The graphic was created in approximately 12 minutes on September 11, 2001. While it may not be the best example of his talents, it is a great example of his ability to create effective work under pressure and in extreme circumstances. That said, he certainly would have preferred more time, especially since this became a signature graphic appearing throughout subsequent newscasts and promotional materials during the next several months.
