Action 3 News Satellite Truck

When Journal Broadcasting bought KMTV, the station went through many changes, the most significant being a change in the station’s branding. Everything was completely reworked from the logo, to colors, to a new name: Action 3 News. Once the new look was in place for the on-air graphics, Christian was put in charge of creating all other graphics to reflect and reinforce the station’s new brand.
After the logo change, this was the last subject to get a face-lift. With the stationery and fleet of news trucks already having been redone, the well was starting to run dry for money allocated to replace the artwork on the satellite truck. Since a full wrap was now a fiscal impossibility, Christian created a design that would require much less material, less labor intensive to place on the vehicle, and therefore be less expensive. The result was another effective moving billboard. After all, it’s hard to miss a 5 ft. tall Action 3 News logo when it’s sitting next to your car in traffic.
